My community here in a lovely Bristol suburb is a classic and the local conservative councillor expertly played to their prejudices. It all came up (even bin collections).

Complaints about antisocial parking affecting their ability to get to where they want to go and shocked gasps at the cost and disruption of the Greater Bristol bus network improvements that is hindering their ability to drive and making congestion worse. "What if an ambulance with a dying person in the back can't get through," they complain.

Yet in the next breath, vociferous objection to a scheme to improve visibility on a nasty junction by putting a double yellow line extension by 1 (yes one) car length as this will affect valuable parking outside the local shops and create a problem up their street.

They want to drive, speed, park where they want as long as it is not in their own street. Selfish bastards all.Rhode Longhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14915552340092347797noreply@blogger.com
