You have the opportunity to put a question to the Transport Secretary - The Guardian is inviting questions for an interview with Hammond. Submit a cycling-related question and maybe he'll get the message that there are voters who care.

  1. My questions would be:
In the light of the proposed increase of motorway speed-limits to 80 mph.
What effect is this expected to have on:
    a) Accident rates, due to increased differential speeds. (HGVs restricted to 56 mph)
    b) Transport pollution caused deaths and morbidity.
    c) Dynamic traffic flow stability rates, due to increased average speeds.
    d) Average travel times at rush-hour between say, Oxford to London and vice-versa.

And the total costs / savings for each, that result.
